Back in December disaster struck, under the expert eye of Andy Roelands it was discovered that the rollcage in the Legacy was scrap, totally unfit for purpose and not anywhere close to being safe enough for a trip to the most extreme hillclimb in the world, Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.
Andy was booked to fit two additional tubes to the existing cage, a job that would be complete in only a few days. Once we discovered just how bad the old cage was it was decision time, are we beat? Do we give up at the first hurdle?
Up steps Andy Roelands of Roelands Motorsport. Andy called round each of his clients and asked if they would mind being pushed back a little, he then gave up his well earned Christmas break to be a hero and provide us with an absolute work of art. The new PP01Pikes Peak specification rollcage is not only amazing to look at but has given the Legacy an incredible level of structural integrity. The multipoint cage material is significantly lighter than the previous monstrosity and is properly tied into the shell making it much stiffer.
